Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. My time is my only product so the loss of income due to no-shows and late cancellations carries a significant financial impact.
That is why I kindly request 48 hours notice wherever possible, and require 24 hours notice minimum, by email, if you need to cancel. If you cannot provide me with 24 hours, I will still do my best, time permitting, to fill your spot if I have a cancellation list for that day. However, if I am unable to fill your spot, you will be charged as follows:
- NO SHOWS and SAME DAY cancellations will be charged the full fee for the time booked
- ALL other cancellations with LESS THAN 24HR notice will be charged 50% of the fee for the time booked
- ONLY those cancellations due to waking with new onset of symptoms of contagious RESPIRATORY illness on the morning of your appointment are exempt from fees.
*Even though I do understand that there may be situations where you cannot attend as planned due to urgent -but non-emergency- matters (ie spasms, fatigue, headaches/migraines, GI issues, child care, schedule conflicts, work commitments etc.,). I regret I am unable to waive my full fees for each situation that may arise.
If you have an emergency, please let me know, so I can consider your specific situation.
I thank you for your understanding and continued support of my practice.
Most Extended Health plans cover a portion of RMT treatment fees. They do NOT cover late cancellation/missed appointment fees. Contact your insurer for your specific coverage.
In B.C., MSP beneficiaries receiving premium assistance may be entitled to $23 per visit for a combined annual limit of 10 visits each calendar year for the following services: chiropractic, massage therapy, naturopathy, physical therapy and non-surgical podiatry.
